About Us

My name is Alma Murillo-Cruz, and I am the owner of Soul-searching Gallery.  This business idea began with just some soul-searching about what I really enjoyed doing, and painting came to mind since it was a great way for me to relax and take some time away from the adversity I've faced in my life.  While in quarantine due to Covid-19, I had all the time in the world to finally do more paintings.  Since I always wanted to own some type of business, I thought this was the perfect thing to do, sell some art work on canvas and apparel. Therefore, I also created my Etsy page to share what I offer at https://soulsearchinggallery.etsy.com.  Later came the idea of doing mobile parties where I could offer painting lessons not simply for my customers to learn, but mainly to relax.  Relaxation sessions are still in its infancy, but we will start including more of those therapeutic art sessions in the future after my retirement from teaching business and technology.  My masters degrees in information systems and professional counseling will definitely come in handy to meet my customer's needs in addition to my experience teaching adults and children.  This and the fact that I enjoy and LOVE talking to my customers to build relationships shows my commitment to past and future clients.   HOPE TO SEE YOU IN MY FUTURE SESSIONS!
